Corrigendum: symmetric solutions to symmetric partial difference equations
Abstract
Theorem 4.2 in [Symmetric Solutions to Symmetric Partial Difference Equations, Journal of Difference Equations and Applications, 31:3, 406–417, DOI: 10.1080/10236198.2024.2428380] does not charaterise all the symmetric solutions to a symmetric system of difference equations on Zn, as claimed. Thus, the statement on the dimension of the space of symmetric solutions is an underestimate. The correct statement appears below. The corrected version of the paper appears in arXiv.org [S. Shankar, Symmetric solutions to symmetric partial difference equations, 2025. https://arxiv.org/pdf/2310.00903.], where some typos are corrected, and a few improvements also incorporated.
