Abstract

Multi-elemental determination of soil, water, vegetables, leaves, seeds, and oil samples of the study area was conducted using Inductively Coupled Plasma Optical Emission Spectroscopy (ICP-OES). The trace and major elements such as As, Cd, Cr, Cu, Fe, Mn, Pb, Zn, Co, and Se were determined. The method had a detection limit of 0.01–0.98 µg/L, a recovery rate of 92–106, and an R-square of linearity of 0.999. The findings showed moderately contaminated soil and water samples, but the food samples were within acceptable limits. These results show that ICP-OES is a strong tool for fast, accurate, and multi-component environmental measurements. The research establishes ICP-OES as a high-quality, high-throughput instrument for evaluating the overall environmental quality, which offers essential information on pollution testing and resource management.
