Hyperconnexivity, compositionality and non-deterministic semantics
Abstract
This paper propose a method for eliminating hyperconnexivity from Wansing's material connexive logic. It is based on a partial rejection of the principle of compositionality and, as a consequence, on the use of semantic frameworks involving a kind of non-determinism regarding the meaning of implication. The main advantage of the approach used in this paper is that the proposed logical theory does not simply avoid the hyperconnexivity, but is also a sub-logic of the logic whose hyperconnexivity it avoids.
