Abstract

This study aimed at investigating the role of agile leadership in enhancing firm resilience in the hotel industry with the mediating role of followers’ emotional stability and hotel size as a moderator. Survey data was collected from a random sample of 301 respondents working at star-level hotels selected purposively. The results show that followers’ emotional stability fully mediates, and hotel size significantly moderates the relationship between agile leadership and organizational resilience. The study enriches leadership and resilience research in tourism and hospitality by explaining the mechanisms and boundary conditions through which agile leadership fosters organizational resilience. Hotels can enhance crisis-resilience by developing adaptive leadership, strengthening employees’ emotional composure, and aligning human resource capacity to enable swift organizational adjustments.
