Innovative paths and development trends in the integration of environmental design and digital and intelligent technologies

Environmental design, as a discipline that integrates art and technology, traditionally relies on experience and manual operation, which are often inadequate in addressing the increasingly complex needs of a changing social environment. The rise of digital and intelligent technologies, however, offers new opportunities for innovation in environmental design. These technologies expand the expressive capabilities of design and the dimensions of spatial perception, steering environmental design towards a more intelligent, interactive, and personalized direction. Through a literature review, this study aims to examine the innovative paths of environmental design integrating with digital and intelligent technologies. It explores how to use modern technologies to promote innovation in environmental design from various perspectives, conducts case analyses and effect evaluations to verify the application effects and feasibility of these technologies in actual environmental design projects, and finally anticipates the development trends of environmental design integrating with digital and intelligent technologies. This study further discusses potential development trends in the integration of environmental design with digitalization and intelligent technology, with the goal of providing references for academic research and practical design projects in the field of environmental design.
