Research on water resources environmental evaluation and utilisation based on emergy analysis
Abstract
Water resources are crucial natural sources that are prerequisite for sustainable development and human survival. Due to the rapid development of society and the human economy, water resource consumption has increased, leading to water scarcity. As the foundation of a two-phase water resources evaluation framework, energy analysis promotes sustainable water resource use by assessing environmental implications and directing knowledgeable, adaptable water management decisions. In the water resources environmental evaluation phase, we have analysed the water resource evaluation using the indicators. Afterwards, we have analysed the sustainable utilisation of water resources and the activities involved in a WRM (Water resource management). In addition, we have conducted the benefit and index analysis for urban water resource. Then, the evaluation methods are applied for evaluating the water resources. Following that, utilisation based on emergy analysis is conducted, where emergy analysis process takes place and afterwards we have analysed how the emergy analysis helps in providing the sustainable WRU (Water Resource Utilisation). This research employs emergy analysis and catastrophe theory-based evaluation methodologies to examine water resource sustainability, efficiency, and safety in urban water management systems. The outcomes of our proposed water resource environmental evaluation and utilisation based on Emergy analysis, proved its effectiveness.
