The anticolonial geographies matrix
Abstract
This review essay engages Steve Legg’s impressive new book, Spaces of Anticolonialism. Prefatory remarks are followed by a whistle-stop tour through nine inter-related domains of concern – to do with history, geography, concepts, substantive claims and methodology – and then by brief remarks about matters of style and complexity. A final summation is provided, acknowledging the reviewer’s enthusiasm for this highly significant ‘matrix’, enabling not stultifying, for investigating anticolonial geographies.
