Abstract

This study developed an analytical framework to assess the mobilisation of research results from higher education institutions (HEIs) in the Philippines, focusing on their impact on communities and industries. An online knowledge audit was conducted with seven research directors and ten project research leaders from selected HEIs in the National Capital Region, using open-ended interview questions to gather qualitative data. Content analysis led to the creation of a conceptual model for quantitative data collection via multiple regression analysis. A senior HEI official was also interviewed for an administrative perspective. Findings indicate that the dissemination and utilisation of research outputs, research integrity, and monitoring and evaluation significantly influence internal knowledge mobilisation while research dissemination and external services are vital in enhancing external knowledge mobilisation, all of which were used in designing the SPARK-LINKS model to measure the effectiveness of knowledge mobilisation in HEIs.
