Vibration analysis of double-layer pyramidal functionally graded lattice sandwich plate based on higher-order shear deformation theory
Abstract
This article proposes a novel double-layer pyramidal lattice sandwich structure with two functionally graded cores, in which the pyramidal lattice cores are equivalently modeled as functionally graded plates according to equivalence principle. Based on the higher-order shear deformation theory (HSDT) and Hamilton’s principle, the governing equations for the dynamics of the structure are derived, and the vibration behavior is analytically solved using the Navier method. The accuracy and effectiveness of the proposed approach are validated through comparisons with the established reference data. Through systematic analysis of the influence of material distribution, functionally graded indices, core-to-face thickness ratio, truss rod radius, and other characteristic parameters on the vibration behavior of the double-layer sandwich plate, this study provides a theoretical framework for the design and analysis of multilayer functionally graded sandwich structures, offering valuable insights for the development of lightweight and multifunctional integrated structures in sectors such as shipbuilding, automotive, and aerospace engineering.
