Abstract

This study examines how servitization influences the trade credit supply of manufacturing firms listed on the Shanghai and Shenzhen stock exchanges (2007–2023). The benchmark regression shows that servitization significantly enhances trade credit supply. The mechanism tests show that internal and external resource expansion positively affect the scale of trade credit supply in enterprises undergoing servitization. The servitization effect is particularly evident in non-state-owned enterprises, low-marketization regions, and competitive industries, as revealed by heterogeneity tests. Additionally, the resource empowerment of servitization for enterprises’ trade credit supply can maintain supply chain stability.
