Abstract

AC-driven electroluminescent (EL) devices are low-power, thin, lightweight, flexible and can be formed into any shape. In these devices, graphite is often used as the electrode material due to high electrical conductivity and low cost. When graphite is used as an ink electrode material, it must make into paste by dispersing to some solvent. Graphite could be dispersed in aqueous solvent with TEMPO oxidized cellulose nanofiber (TOCN). TOCN-graphite dispersion indicated high electrical conductivity and used as an electrode material for the AC-driven EL device. The fabricated devices indicated higher luminance than commercial carbon electrode while maintaining flexibility.
