Application of Interval-Valued Fuzzy Decision Method Based on Uncertain Evaluation Function Under Unknown Weights in Cotton Quality Evaluation
Abstract
Compared with intuitionistic fuzzy sets and Pythagorean fuzzy sets, interval-valued q-rung orthopair fuzzy sets have a wider application range and can solve complex decision problems. This paper categorizes the evaluation of foreign fiber content into the realm of multi-attribute decision-making and conducts relevant decision analysis. Firstly, the distance measurement, basic operations, and evaluation methods in the interval-valued q-rung orthopair fuzzy environment are summarized. In terms of application data, a method for determining fuzzy numbers by combining statistics is proposed. Then, we improved the parameter distribution in the PA operator to increase its adjustability, and combined it with the MSM operator to generate the aggregate operator. Meanwhile, to improve the discrimination accuracy between fuzzy numbers and ensure the uniqueness of results, two new evaluation functions are proposed. Further, considering the determination of weight distribution when weights are unknown, a weight method based on subjective/objective weight fusion is proposed. Finally, a new decision method is constructed by integrating the aggregation operator, evaluation function and weight information, and it is applied in the process of cotton fiber quality assessment. In summary, the method provides a feasible scheme for the determination of the evaluation function and weight in the decision process.
