Abstract

The Virginia Government Simulation (VGS) is designed to build career readiness by immersing students in a realistic legislative environment where they practice the professional skills employers value: research, written and oral communication, negotiation, teamwork, leadership, problem solving, professionalism, advocacy, conflict management, etc. We provide a practical guide for creating a statewide legislative simulation that helps students translate classroom learning into applied, transferable career skills.
