Abstract

The study provides an updated version of the type of play to be delivered by resort mini clubs to satisfy the needs of children. The study also reveals that play delivered by resort mini clubs must now be articulated around three aspects: Value Added: Everything done during the holidays needs to combine the four types of fun children are interested in, while enabling them to interact with others. See It to Value It: The outcomes and benefits of the holiday experience need to be easily perceived by the beholder. Immediate Consumption: The outcomes and benefits can be reaped while consuming the experience and/or after consuming the experience. Equally important, the study provides evidence that repurposed data is a valid, reliable and convenient approach when conducting research on children.
