Entropy analysis of time-dependent squeezed nanofluid flow through magnetized parallel disks under multiple slip conditions
Abstract
This study investigates the entropy production and thermal distribution characteristics of time-dependent squeezed nanofluid flow through parallel disks, with lower disk being horizontally stretched and subjected to suction. The system of equations is numerically solved using the BVP4C solver, and the results are presented through comprehensive graphs and tables for better visualization. Increasing the squeezing and magnetic parameters decreases the fluid velocity near the lower disk while enhancing it near the upper disk. Higher suction parameters reduce the fluid velocity. The Sherwood number increases with the Lewis number at the lower disk but decreases at the upper disk. Both Brinkman and magnetic parameters increase the entropy, as does a higher diffusion parameter, while the Bejan number increases with diffusion but decreases with increasing Brinkman number. These findings may assist in enhancing the understanding and management of relevant applications in industrial processes such as tesla disk pumps.
