Nucleus-acoustic solitary structures in degenerate quantum plasmas
Abstract
The nonlinear propagation of degenerate pressure-driven nucleus-acoustic waves in a warm quantum plasma medium comprising degenerate electron species, light nucleus species, and heavy nucleus species has been studied. A set of fluid equations that describe our plasma system is presented. We have used the reductive perturbation technique, which reduced our set of fluid equations into a partial differential equation so-called Korteweg-de Vries (KdV) equation that latter permits the solitary wave solution. It is found that our plasma system only supports the existence of positive solitary waves. The effects of warm, non-relativistic, and ultra-relativistic electron degeneracy on the propagation characteristics are examined in detail. The findings demonstrate that when the density ratios of heavy and light nuclei increase, as do the degeneracy parameters, the phase velocity of nucleus-acoustic waves decreases. Furthermore, the amplitude and width of the solitary structures are greatly altered by relativistic effects and electron degeneracy, which increases the nonlinearity of the system. The results of our present investigation will help in understanding of nucleus-acoustic wave dynamics in dense warm quantum plasmas and may apply to high-energy laboratory plasmas and astrophysical environments with mixed electron populations and multi-species nuclei.
