Electron and ion swarm parameters of the HFO-1336mzz(E) gas
Abstract
Abstract This work employed pulsed Townsend experiment to investigate electrical insulation performance of new eco-friendly insulating gas HFO-1336mzz(E). Firstly, electron reaction rates and transport coefficients in pure gas and HFO-1336mzz(E)/CO 2 , HFO-1336mzz(E)/N 2 , HFO-1336mzz(E)/Air mixtures with different ratios were measured under low pressure. These mixtures’ insulation properties and the HFO-1336mzz(E) synergies with CO 2 , N 2 and air were systematically evaluated. It is found that the electron detachment process exerts a significant influence on the measured current in pure HFO-1336mzz(E) under the pressure condition of several hundred Pascals. Consequently, this work further carries out research on the ion kinetic discharge model and electron swarm parameters of HFO-1336mzz(E) gas, analyzes the pressure response characteristics and detachment behaviors of different ions in HFO-1336mzz(E), and explores their possible formation mechanisms and specific ion species.
