A long-stroke stick-slip piezoelectric attitude alignment mechanism
Abstract
Abstract A novel piezoelectric-driven stick-slip attitude alignment mechanism is presented, aiming at significantly suppressing the reverse motion of the stator through structural innovation in order to improve the single-step efficiency. This structure utilizes the deformation characteristics of piezoelectric crystals to achieve fine-tuned control of an object’s attitude with large magnification and resolution. In the study, the structural feasibility is verified by theoretical and dynamic modeling, gain characteristics were evaluated by simulation analysis, and then experimental verification was carried out to clarifies the optimal performance configuration for this mechanism. The experimental results show that the maximum displacement per second of the driving efficiency is 0.344 mm on the left side and 0.333 mm on the right side at 70 V, showing a significant inhibition effect on the reverse motion. At 30 V voltage and 70% symmetry, the optimal output frequency for the left side driver is 548.56 Hz and for the right side is 550.62 Hz. The optimum output symmetry of the mechanism is 70% at 30 V voltage and 250 Hz frequency. The mechanism has a driving resolution of 1.356 μ m on the left side and 1.143 μ m on the right side, showing high resolution and good driving efficacy, which provides an important reference for future related research.
