Abstract
Abstract We analyse recent results on the vibration-rotational spectra of diatomic molecules. The authors resorted to a potential-energy function that does not satisfy the well-known conditions that define the equilibrium bond length and dissociation energy. The authors claimed to have obtained discrete eigenvalues for a potential that does not support bound states.
