Abstract

Abstract This study investigates the impact of complexity on the weak signal detection performance of a chaotic synchronization control system. Experimental results demonstrate that as system complexity increases, the weak signal detection performance improves significantly, confirming a positive correlation between complexity and signal detection capability. To further validate this hypothesis, three typical chaotic systems—Lorenz, SH, and Liu—were selected for experimental analysis. The results consistently show that increasing system complexity enhances weak signal detection performance. Based on these findings, a complete hardware circuit implementation of the most optimal chaotic synchronization control system was carried out, and practical weak signal detection experiments were conducted with multiple types of multi-frequency signals. The results indicate that the hardware system not only outperforms other designs in signal detection performance but also features a simple circuit structure, low cost, and strong potential for engineering applications.
