Cylindrical transducer with adjustable horizontal beam width
Abstract
Abstract When measuring target intensity, the acoustic signal must cover the object. To reduce boundary interference, the transducer requires both a certain horizontal and vertical beam width. This study achieves an adjustable horizontal beam width for cylindrical transducers using an acoustic baffle. A finite element model was established with COMSOL software and simulation analysis was conducted, which closely matches the measured acoustic performance. Experimental results demonstrate that within the 30 kHz-50 kHz frequency range, the cylindrical transducer exhibits a flat transmit voltage response with minimal rear radiation.
