Application of acoustic perforated panels and porous materials in the design of acoustic shielded enclosures
Abstract
Abstract Addressing poor low-frequency absorption and limited sound insulation in acoustic shielded enclosures, this study proposes a composite structure integrating porous materials with micro-perforated panel (MPP). The sound absorption coefficients (SAC) of glass fiber wool were measured via the transfer function method, with Johnson-Champoux-Allard (JCA) model parameters inversely identified. Transfer matrix method (TMM) modeling enabled structural optimization through material sequence reconfiguration and substitution of medium density fiberboard (MDF) with steel plate. Results demonstrate that metal replacement significantly improves broadband sound transmission loss while reducing weight, and MPP integration substantially enhances low-frequency absorption. This work provides theoretical guidance for high-performance acoustic shielded enclosure design.
