Abstract

Abstract During heavy snow events in Hunan, the lodging of snow-laden trees and bamboos can trigger accidents such as tripping, disconnection, and pole collapse of distribution network lines. These incidents pose a severe threat to the safety of the distribution network. This study conducts an analysis from two core dimensions: heavy snow hazard intensity and sensitivity of the disaster-predisposing environment, and further constructs a risk assessment model specifically for heavy snow disasters affecting distribution Network. The assessment results indicate that several counties are classified as high-risk areas for distribution network heavy snow disasters. These counties include Longhui and Dongkou in Shaoyang City, Yuanling in Huaihua City, Xinhua in Loudi City, and Anhua in Yiyang City. The method can provide a scientific basis for implementing targeted response measures against distribution network heavy snow disasters.
