Abstract

Abstract To address issues such as poor flexibility, low rock-breaking efficiency, and reliance on imports in traditional drilling equipment used in confined underground spaces like tunnels, this study conducts structural design, simulation analysis, and experimental research on a single-arm rock drilling trolley. First, the trolley’s main structure is designed, including the track chassis, 360° rotating turntable, nested telescopic work arm, and piston impact rock drilling mechanism, meeting complex operational requirements; a hydraulic system simulation model is established based on AMESim to analyze the effects of different oil supply flows on impact energy, impact frequency, and system efficiency, determining the optimal flow rate as 55 L / min; a five-degree-of-freedom kinematic model of the articulated arm is built using DH parameters, and its smoothness is verified through ADAMS simulation; finally, field applications are carried out in tunnel projects in the Chengdu-Chongqing region, comparing the performance of the single-arm rock drilling trolley combined with DX680 hydraulic breaker and working with a single breaker. Results show that the combined operation mode has shorter cycle times and less fluctuation, significantly improves rock-breaking efficiency, reduces equipment wear, and validates the reasonableness of the structural design and technical scheme, providing new equipment and technical support for efficient rock breaking in underground engineering.
