Abstract

Abstract Fluorosilicone raw rubber with introduced flexible chain segments was compounded with surface-modified fumed silica. After investigating the composition and dosage of each component, a fluorosilicone rubber sealing material with excellent cryogenic resistance and long service life was prepared. The surface morphology of the fluorosilicone rubber sealing material before and after aging was characterized using scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and the particle composition was analyzed using infrared spectroscopy. The effects of each component on the brittle temperature and low-temperature compression set were also examined. The service life of the fluorosilicone rubber seal in transformer oil was simulated using the Arrhenius equation, and the results indicated a service life of approximately 25 years.
