Abstract

Abstract This study investigates the effects of electromagnetic stirring on melt flow, magnetic field distribution, and element distribution in ZL114 aluminum alloy under multiphysics conditions. The results show that as the current intensity increases, the magnetic flux density and magnetic induction intensity gradually increase. When the current intensity is held constant, the magnetic induction intensity exhibits a decaying trend with increasing electromagnetic frequency, while the magnetic flux density remains largely unchanged. Based on the time required for uniform composition of the Mg element, the optimal electromagnetic process parameters are determined as a stirring frequency of 30 Hz and a current intensity of 50 A.
