Tool trajectory correction method for 5-axis CNC machine tool machining based on isometric planning
Abstract
Abstract This study investigates a tool trajectory correction method for five-axis CNC machining based on isometric planning. By generating the initial tool path via the isometric method, the step length error and its cumulative effect are systematically rectified. Experimental comparisons of machining effects between the proposed method and conventional approaches, applied to parts of varying complexity, demonstrate that the correction method substantially reduces machining errors and enhances part accuracy. The approach proves particularly effective in mitigating both step length inaccuracies and their accumulated deviations.
