Abstract

Abstract In response to the problem of pipeline vibration, this article first analyzes the causes of pipeline vibration and the shortcomings of traditional vibration control methods. Then, based on the limitations of conventional spring-type tuned mass dampers in pipeline vibration control, such as single vibration reduction direction and poor portability, a rubber-type tuned mass damper is designed and applied to the vibration control of a cooling water pipeline in a certain enterprise. Practical application has proved that after installing a rubber-type tuned mass damper, the horizontal vibration peak of the pipeline decreased from 321 μm to 30 μm, a decrease of 90.7%, and pipeline vibration can be effectively controlled, which has great engineering application value.
