Research on 18 F monitoring technology based on digital coincidence measurement technology in nuclear power plant
Abstract
Abstract The paper presents an advanced monitoring technique for monitoring reactor coolant leakage. With the increasing demands for quantitative monitoring, 18 F has garnered significant research interest due to its extended half-life and positron annihilation characteristics. Based on the positron annihilation characteristics of 18 F, research on 18 F monitoring technology based on digital coincidence measurement technology in nuclear power plant is introduced in this paper. Firstly, design and implement of the digital coincidence measurement system is introduced. Then, performance measurement conducted in the laboratory and radioactive source environment is introduced in detail. The experimental results show that the measurement accuracy of two energy measurement channels is better than 6.0‰, time measurement accuracy is 249.28 ps FWHM, the detection efficiency can remain above 2% when the distance of two detectors is maintained within 4 cm, and the coefficient of determination R 2 = 0.9996. The results demonstrate that coincidence measurement technology is an effective measurement technology for 18 F monitoring, and it establishes a robust foundation for the development of subsequent engineering prototypes.
