Abstract

Abstract The learning process can be carried out in various ways. One way is by introducing tourist attractions to elementary school children. In this learning, education about mathematics, literacy, and other subjects can be implemented. However, currently, most learning media used still use paper reference books, so students must provide paper to be able to print the books. Furthermore, the use of paper made from tree trunks also contradicts the global Go Green movement, which aims to reduce the use of raw materials from nature. Therefore, the use of Augmented Reality (AR) Technology is proposed to display learning materials according to the curriculum in an AR application. This paper presents the results of the application of an AR model developed using a prototype method as a learning medium by displaying 3D objects in the form of tourist destinations. The application is intended to support-greater user education with respect to Tourism Education, for learning literacy, numeracy and psycholiteracy and supporting the green agenda by reducing use of paper. The application is produced at several stages, including developing AR Eduwisata applications, distributing the application to elementary school students users to becomes stimulus for learning, since it raise student responses and its influence on the routine of students in every activity in their learning activity. We are using HARUS (Handheld Augmented Reality Usability Scale) as experience testing method to measure the user satisfaction level after using this application.
