Abstract

Abstract Tourism development is not only an effort to increase tourism potential but also contributes to regional economic growth, as it is believed to generate substantial domino effects on the economy and influence both direct and indirect activities across various sub-sectors. Lake Pading, located in Central Bangka Regency, is a nature-based tourism attraction developed from a former tin mining site. The panorama and natural beauty of Lake Pading have made it a leading and popular destination among tourists. However, the management of Lake Pading has not yet provided a significant economic impact due to several challenges, particularly the limited participation of human resources, such as the lack of community socialization in developing micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). This study adopts the THIS approach (Thematic, Holistic, Integrative, and Spatial) with the aim of emphasizing the importance of preserving the lake ecosystem, enhancing cultural experiences, and creating economic opportunities for local communities. It also seeks to promote the development of environmentally friendly infrastructure, sustainable tourism activities, and community engagement in the development process. Therefore, this research was conducted to formulate strategies for the development of Lake Pading tourism through the application of the Gastromina Tourism Concept. The study employs a qualitative descriptive research design. Data were collected through field observations, documentation, and interviews. The analytical method employed in this study was SWOT analysis. The findings indicate that Lake Pading tourism can be developed through the application of the Gastromina Tourism Concept, which involves maintaining existing potentials while strengthening the economic, tourism, and cultural policies of Perlang Village by utilizing fishery resources as culinary products. The study concludes that such tourism development holds sustainable potential and supports economic growth and community welfare through the synergy of government, local communities, and the private sector.
