Abstract

A description of SETI focused on exoplanets, including the origins of the idea with Owen and Campbell and Galileo observations of Earth. Includes a description of the maximum extent of exoplanetary technosignatures on so-called service worlds, atmospheric technosignatures, surface technosignatures, and the potential for “eavesdropping'' on planet-to-planet communications. Includes exercises for students.
