Multi-agent hierarchical and distributed optimization strategy for micro grid in fixed-time consensus
Abstract
Abstract In the paper, we intend to propose a multi-agent fixed- time consensus algorithm for power quality optimization of islanded micro grids. It reveals that the existing primary control strategy for such micro grids, i.e., conventional droop control has some limitations in providing accurate output power sharing parallel operating DGs, which make system voltage and frequency to become GoM’s than supply values. the proposed approach schemes the global active and reactive redundancies of the system according to fixed-time consensus theory. Every DG utilizes its reserve capacity ratio to restrict its power utilization in different system load condition. Consensus theory is used for system frequency and voltage synchronized to the reference rated values of them, and distributing the output power from each DG equally with an optimized droop control. to design a hierarchical and distributed control architecture for islanded micro grids without the dependence upon any central controller to reinforce system reliability whilst reducing the communication overhead. Maintain the system frequency and voltage at their rated customer values in order to ensure micro grid stability. Realize precise and proportionate power integration of DGs according to different individual spare capacities between them, with an aim to avoid overloading and improve resource utilization. Ensure the system-wide agreement between DGs is achieved within a bounded time, regardless of initial state for predictable and speedy convergence to consensus. MATLAB/Simulink simulation results are carried out to verify the performance of the proposed control strategy in voltage balancing and frequency regulation into isolation.
