Abstract

Abstract In response to the challenges of complex error propagation paths, reliability assurance, and assembly cost optimization in the accuracy allocation of CNC machine tools, this paper proposes a accuracy allocation method based on meta-action unit chains. First, the machine tool is decomposed according to the ‘Function-Motion-Action (FMA)’ principle of meta-action theory to obtain meta-action unit chains and meta-action units. Establish an error propagation model between same-level action units and different-level action units. Secondly, integrating complexity and reliability factors, establish a comprehensive multi-objective optimization model for assembly accuracy based on ‘accuracy-cost-reliability’. Then, through the unique ‘meta-action unit chain(-)transmission pair’ and ‘transmission pair(-)meta-action unit’ two-level allocation strategy, a reasonable allocation result is obtained. Finally, taking a specific model of machine tool CNC turntable as an example, the rationality and effectiveness of this method are illustrated.
