Abstract

Interfacial phenomena play a crucial role in many daily and industrial processes. These processes are related to the adsorption on solid and fluid interfaces, wettability, nucleation, adhesion, and other phenomena that strongly impact the quality and cost of products and processes. Understanding interfacial phenomena at equilibrium requires the description of surface thermodynamics.
