Integration of neuromorphic chips at the system level
Abstract
Neuromorphic chips at the system level are a class of non-volatile memory devices whose electrical resistance depends on the history of the applied voltage and current. This means their resistance can be adjusted based on the amount and direction of the electric current that passes through them. Memristive systems can ‘remember’ the last resistance state even when the power is turned off, which makes them suitable for emulating synaptic connections in neural networks. The integration of neuromorphic chips at the system level represents an advancement in computing, as in intelligent systems it closely emulates the intricate functionality of the human brain
