Abstract

Abstract The automotive and aeronautics industries are at the heart of Morocco’s industrial transformation. They have been the spearheads of the Pacte Émergence (Emergence Pact) and the 2014–2020 Industrial Acceleration Program. The ecosystem approach built around major contractors, global equipment manufacturers, and an extensive network of subcontractors has created favorable conditions for the densification of these sectors across various production segments. They have thus risen to the challenge of enhancing and consolidating their position within global value chains. Their contribution to the performance of Morocco’s manufacturing industry is significant, particularly in terms of exports and skilled employment. These achievements are the result of a multifaceted public effort: from workforce training to the deployment of world‑class infrastructure and logistics, alongside substantial fiscal and financial incentives. Consolidating these gains now requires the successful navigation of the shift toward green technologies and the disruptions reshaping global supply chains.
