Abstract

Abstract This chapter is a series of reflections on the topic of systematic metaphysics. Starting with the systematicity of metaphysics itself, the chapter moves to the relationship between metaphysics and logic. It then looks at the relationship between logic and the other parts of practical philosophy, and finally to the relationship between logic and practical philosophy. What will transpire is the fact that philosophy itself is a systematic whole: all parts are related to all other parts via various conceptual connections. However, it will be seen that logic provides the central node in this web of interconnections (though metaphysics may come a close second).
