Abstract

The risk of serious infection in people with severe psoriasis treated with infliximab was examined in a cohort study using real-world data from BADBIR. The propensity score method and inverse probability of treatment weights were used to balance covariates across treatment groups. An Andersen–Gill recurrent Cox model was used to estimate hazard ratios for comparisons with infliximab. Our findings suggest that infliximab is associated with an increased risk of serious infection vs. adalimumab, secukinumab, ustekinumab and standard treatments.
