Abstract

Abstract In the conventional synthesis of BaSnO3 (BSO) particles using the hydrothermal method, the general approach involves first hydrothermally synthesizing BaSn(OH)6 and then performing further heat treatment to obtain BSO particles. However, the problem of BSO particles agglomerating upon heat treatment remains. Therefore, in this study, we developed a method to synthesize BSO particles in one step. BSO particles were synthesized from Ba(OH)2・8H2O, SnCl4・5H2O, NaOH aqueous solution, and oleic acid using the hydrothermal method. We also verified that cube-shaped particles could be obtained by adding oleic acid.
