Abstract

Abstract A sample of 100 articles from the field of ‘GenAI and lexicography’ is used, effectively assembling it, to then perform a corpus analysis as well as a manual analysis. The corpus analysis covers a total of six fields: (1) Artificial Intelligence, (2) computational aspects, (3) tools, dictionaries, publishers and places, (4) journals, associations and languages, (5) names of researchers, and (6) lexicographic and linguistic topics. The manual analysis charts a timeline of the sample of 100 articles, and deals with the 15 different languages in which they are written, as well as the 32 different countries where they are published. The article concludes with the observation that one out of every five publications in the field of ‘GenAI in lexicography’ refers to the work of Patrick Hanks, citing no less than 34 different works by or for him.
