Conditions of the neonatal stomach
Abstract
Abstract Surgical conditions affecting the stomach are rare, but potentially life-threatening. Timely diagnosis and treatment reduce mortality, but eventual outcome is more dependent on comorbidities. This chapter includes sections covering pyloric atresia, gastric volvulus, and gastric perforation, with discussion of clinical presentation, diagnosis, treatment, and outcomes in each.
