It covers insulin types, administration regimens, and special considerations, including DVLA notification, as well as the management of diabetic ketoacidosis, hyperosmolar hyperglycaemic syndrome, and hypoglycaemia. Oral antidiabetic agents are discussed, including their mechanisms of action and adverse effects. The chapter also summarizes thyroxine replacement, anti-thyroid drugs, and corticosteroid indications, pharmacology, and side effects. Practical considerations for acute endocrine emergencies and chronic disease management are included.
