Abstract Key Points: • CPET data are presented in tables and graphs. • Graphical displays are a simple way of viewing patterns of change during CPET. • The nine-panel plot is the most widely used graphic format. • A four-panel plot can be used to simplify presentation. • An ABCDEF stepwise approach can be used to ensure the CPET is presented and reported systematically.
