Renal impact of fluid management with colloids: RETRACTION
Abstract
One of the key studies cited in the correspondence, “Renal impact of fluid management with colloids”,1 was authored by Joachim Boldt and has since been retracted by the respective journal owing to serious scientific deficiencies, including data falsification, absence of ethics approval, and non-reproducible results. Because the central argument of this correspondence article is based on all cited references, including the reference that has since been retracted, the European Journal of Anaesthesiology has determined that the scientific validity of the conclusion is compromised and cannot be considered scientifically sound. This correspondence article is retracted.
