Abstract

The significance of sustainability in the insurance industry has ballooned in line with the process of digitalization. We are confronted with a world where both natural and anthropic factors challenge incumbent insurance practices. This situation is interwoven with technological advancements. Augmented reality (AR) solves a crucial problem in demand for assistance: remote visioning as if the distant expert is directly on the ground. AR is crucial in simplicity and affordability, and it has not yet assumed a similar role in the fulfillment of on-site needs. The prospects for the insurance industry should focus on operational efficiency, accuracy, and reduction of litigation exposure in the risk assessment phase and keeping with our underwriting while taking a proactive approach toward modifying risks. We can announce three objectives of this chapter. The primary goal is to frame the narrative of the evolution of the insurance industry within the insurance value chain on digital insurance since current climate crises are indicating the necessity of preventative risk management. The motivation for our study and the topology of digital insurance publication are outlined. We introduce methodologies and data. We present the figures related to the digital insurance market. The discussion highlights the particular effect of digital insurers on the total market margin share in each of the property-casualty and life insurance industries. Our conclusion uses our insurance operators’ gap assessment and the role of AR in the insurance value chain to introduce a narrative that supports the demand for green policies.
