Abstract

Sustainability is essential for any development to guarantee its persistence, stability, and long-term benefits. When both sustainability and development align to promote socio-economic progress, it ensures that current progress does not trade off future opportunities, creating a balanced and enduring model. Financial inclusion perfectly contributes to sustainable development by fostering an inclusive system for all and making financial services more affordable and available. Sustainable development and FI are mutually dependent and are significantly bolstered by education, which is widely accepted as a major component in achieving both goals. Education delivers financial knowledge to individuals and enables them to make rational decisions while contributing to the viability and sustainability of the economic system. Additionally, inclusion makes education more affordable, reducing monetary barriers and thereby enhancing employability. In Recent days, digitalization has emerged as a crucial tool of inclusion as it promotes participation without the need for physical presence. This analysis reviews the connection between FI and sustainable development, highlighting the socio-economic advantages that an inclusive financial structure offers. The study also considers the recent progress in inclusion in India. Furthermore, this study investigates the bidirectional relationship between education and FI, emphasizing their collective impact on sustainable development. The special focus is given on digitalization and its significance and effectiveness in this context.
