Abstract

Abstract Nanotechnology is a modern technology that uses innovative methods whose dimensions are measured in nanometers, which heralds a scientific and technical revolution in human life in the near future. It is called by many other names, such as fifth-generation technology, nanomaterials technology, and miniature technology, and in this regard, the authors refer to what is called green nanotechnology that enhances environmental sustainability, which is what the authors will discuss in this chapter. Nanotechnology has opened broad horizons for designers in the field of interior design. In addition to its many benefits in the field of sustainable interior design, such as compatibility with the environment and providing the best interior environment in which the user can live, in addition to the economic benefits, it is expected that using nanotechnology will become more economical than using its currently used alternative, in terms of saving time, effort, and money. Thus, the goal behind scientists adopting nanotechnology is to reach applications in various fields of life by manufacturing materials with new innovative properties or with modified molecules to reach the highest level of quality and operation and be more efficient in performing the functions assigned to them.
