Abstract

Purpose: This chapter explores the role of artificial intelligence (AI) in modernizing talent management amidst the evolution toward Society 5.0, which emphasizes synergy between human workers and AI. AI’s potential to enhance teamwork and cultivate inclusive, diverse work environments is significant, altering how human capital is managed in organizations. This chapter delves into how AI is increasingly pivotal in collaborative talent management (CTM), particularly in enhancing leadership and team management. It examines how AI fosters deeper collaboration and drive innovation within companies, aligning with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) that call for decent work and economic growth (SDG No. 8), sustainable industrial innovation (SDG No. 9), and sustainable partnerships (SDG No. 17). Methodology: This study utilized a grounded theory method and analyzed interviews with sector leaders to deepen the understanding of AI’s role in optimizing strategic operations and talent development. Findings: These insights, underpinned by Markova & McArthur’s collaborative intelligence quotient (CIQ), inform the 2IE Intelligence Theory, a new framework integrating AI’s analytical prowess with human cognitive skills to improve predictive analytics and operational efficiency. Practical Implication: This integration is poised to revolutionize leadership, decision-making, and innovation in talent management, offering practical strategies for global resilience.
