Abstract

The approval of spot Bitcoin and Ether ETFs in 2024 has accelerated interest in tokenization across financial markets, with potential growth estimated at $10 trillion. Key developments include stablecoins, DeFi, staking, artificial intelligence (AI)-driven payments, and the emergence of agentic AI. Institutional adoption is rising, yet systemic risks, ethical concerns, and cybersecurity challenges persist. U.S. policy under the Trump administration is fostering a pro-crypto environment, with states adopting Bitcoin reserves. Meanwhile, the global rollout of CBDCs and tokenization of traditional assets is reshaping financial ecosystems. As tokenized products expand, balancing innovation with security and governance remains paramount.
